Cycling can be a healthy means of transport
Cycling is an activity that everyone can enjoy, from those first wobbles when the stabilisers were taken off to Lands End; to John O'Groats rides and everything in between, it is an efficient form of transport, a great workout, liberating, and above all FUN!

About half the adults in the UK have access to a bike but 75 per cent of women and 53 per cent of men never cycle anywhere, according to the cycling charity Sustrans

This website has been designed to help people in the Tees Valley area get back into the saddle again. In it, you'll find a host of top tips, local cycle routes, cycling events, information on cycle training, videos describing everything from what clothing to wear; to how to tackle roundabouts, and a forum to share your thoughts about cycling and maybe find some cycling buddies.

Cycling is a pastime that all the family can enjoy. And even if it's been a while, just remember what they say: you never forget how to ride a bike!
